Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Relyne is built so that your health data and your photos never leave your iPhone. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your data.

The short version

  • Relyne runs entirely on your iPhone.
  • It reads your Apple Health workouts and your Photos in read-only mode. It never changes them.
  • There is no account, no login, and no server that belongs to us.
  • We do not collect, store, see, sell, or share any of your data. On the App Store, our privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
  • The only information that ever leaves your device is an approximate location, sent to Apple's mapping service to turn coordinates into a place name. Nothing else.

What Relyne accesses, and why

Apple Health (workouts). With your permission, Relyne reads your workout history (type, date, duration, distance, route, heart rate and similar metrics) to make it searchable, map it, and compute your personal records. Access is read-only: Relyne requests no permission to write to Apple Health and never modifies it.

Photos. With your permission, Relyne reads your photo library to match the photos you took during a workout, by time and place, so they can appear alongside that memory. This matching happens entirely on your device. No photo is ever copied, moved, modified, or uploaded. Relyne stores only a local reference (the photo's local identifier), never the image itself.

Data we collect

None. Relyne has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. We, the developer, never receive any of your data. Everything Relyne builds (your searchable history, your map, your memories, your records) is created and kept on your device.

The one network exception: place names

To turn a workout's GPS coordinates into a readable place name (for example "Lille" or "Anse Lazio"), Relyne sends an approximate, rounded coordinate to Apple's reverse-geocoding service, which is part of iOS. This is a first-party Apple service, used only to obtain a place name, and the result is cached on your device. No other data is sent, and nothing is sent to us or to any third party. Browsing, search, the map, your records and your memories all work offline; only naming a brand-new location needs this lookup the first time.

Storage and backup

Relyne's database lives on your device and can always be rebuilt from Apple Health. It is deliberately excluded from your iCloud and device backups, so no health-derived data is ever copied to iCloud.

Notifications

If you opt in, Relyne can show local notifications (a resurfaced memory, a new activity, or a new personal record). They are scheduled and delivered on your device, are off by default, and can be turned off at any time in Settings.

Children

Relyne is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. As described above, it collects no personal data at all.
